The Crescent Dental Practice was opened in 1997 to compliment the Harley Street practice. It grew rapidly, and for the first few years both practices ran in conjunction, offering appointments in either location, which suited those who lived in Leatherhead and worked in London’s West End. It soon became clear, however, that The Crescent Dental Practice required all Dr Burton’s energies and so a total commitment was made to Leatherhead.
A second surgery was added in 2001 which has allowed full dental and hygiene services. During building, patient safety and comfort was paramount with lead lining incorporated into the walls between the surgeries and the waiting room. The waiting room has been designed to be light, airy, comfortable and relaxing.
The whole practice is at ground floor level allowing easy access for all.
Over the years there has been a heavy investment in practice equipment for the benefit of our patients. The practice boasts full computerisation, intra-oral camera and digital photography, and many other high ‘tech’ pieces of equipment. There has been recent refurbishment of the waiting room with new flooring and furniture.
We are fortunate to have the services of two highly experienced and qualified hygienists working in their own dedicated surgery offering in total a choice of three days a week and the occasional Saturday morning. Both work in consultation with the dentists to provide a first class oral hygiene service. Their aim is to provide you with the skills you need to keep healthy teeth and gums for life. Both are committed to continuing professional development. The hygienists and the dentist work closely with a specialist periodontist who offers consultation, advice and treatment should this be necessary for the more difficult or advanced case.
